Operations Specialist
The role
What you'll do
This is not a typical customer service job. There are no scripts. No canned responses. No smiling through a headset while someone reads you their order number.
This is freight. When a shipment is late and a broker's entire day is blown, they don't send a polite email. They call. And they're not calm. You're the person who picks up that phone, absorbs the pressure, owns the problem, and fixes it. Not deflects it. Not escalates it. Fixes it.
You're also the one holding drivers to their word. If a driver says they'll deliver by 4 PM and goes dark at 3, you don't shrug and wait. You pick up the phone, find out what happened, and make it right — or you communicate the problem to the customer before they have to chase you. You're direct. Respectful, but never passive.

Responsibilities
Take the hard calls
Angry broker, blown delivery, missing driver. You pick up, you listen, you take control.
Hold drivers accountable
ETAs, check-ins, delivery confirmations. If they don't follow through, you address it. Directly.
Own every problem that hits your desk
Missed pickup, detention charge, wrong address. It's yours until it's resolved. No passing.
Run the board
Track loads, coordinate pickups, manage five conversations at once. The operation doesn't pause because you're busy.
Communicate like it matters
Because it does. Clear emails, fast responses, zero ambiguity. Nobody should have to chase you for an update.
